Snapix is built privacy-first: we collect only what we need to run your account and improve Snapix. This policy explains what that is.
The Snapix Mac app
Your screenshots, annotations, extracted text (OCR), and capture history are processed and stored entirely on your Mac. They are never uploaded, and we never see them.
The app connects to keep your account and subscription working, deliver app updates, and send feedback you choose to share — we use it to improve the app. We also note when you last used Snapix, so we know how many people use it, and the country you first connected from.
Usage statistics
When they're on, the app also shares usage statistics: how you use the app and its features, never your screenshots or what's in them. They help us focus on what matters most. In the United States and Australia they are on from the start; everywhere else they are off unless you choose to share them. Either way you can turn them off anytime in Settings, and they are deleted with your account.
What this website collects
- Account details. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account. If you use Sign in with Apple's private email relay, we only ever see the relay address.
- Subscription data. We store your plan status and the identifiers needed to manage your subscription.
- Usage. We measure how the site is used — the pages people visit, how they found us, errors and session recordings — so we can make it better.
- Cookies. Cookies and similar browser storage keep you signed in and, where you allow them, measure how the site is used and how our ads perform. Clearing your browser's data removes them.
Emails we send
Service email is tied to your account — signing up, billing, security, and changes to your subscription — and is sent for as long as the account exists. Anything else we send about the product is optional, and you can turn it off at any time from your dashboard. Payment receipts come from Stripe.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card details are entered with and held by Stripe — we never see or store them. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Advertising
We advertise Snapix on other sites. The ad platforms we work with use cookies and similar technology to measure which ads bring people to Snapix and lead to an account or a purchase, and may show our ads to people who have visited this site.
If you arrive from one of our ads and then create an account, we note that ad click with your account, so we can tell which ads lead to sign-ups.
In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask before using analytics or advertising cookies or similar storage, and before recording sessions. Wherever you are, you can change your answer at any time in .
Sharing your data
We share data only with the providers that help us run and grow Snapix — sign-in, payments, email, analytics and advertising.
Your choices
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard, turn off product emails there or from the unsubscribe link in any message we send, and turn usage statistics on or off there or in the Mac app's Settings. To request access to or deletion of your account data, contact us at support@snapix.app.
