Snapix is built privacy-first. The Mac app processes everything on your device, and this website collects only what it needs to run your account and subscription. This policy explains both.
The Snapix Mac app
Your screenshots, annotations, extracted text (OCR), and capture history are processed and stored entirely on your Mac. They are never uploaded, and we never see them.
Other than that, the app connects only to keep your account and subscription working, and deliver app updates. Your screenshots, images, and OCR text are never sent.
What this website collects
- Account details. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account. If you use Sign in with Apple's private email relay, we only ever see the relay address.
- Subscription data. We store your plan status and the identifiers needed to manage your subscription.
- A session cookie. Used solely to keep you signed in.
Website analytics
To understand how the site is used and to keep improving the product, we use two privacy-focused analytics tools: Ahrefs Web Analytics and PostHog (hosted in the EU). They give us anonymous usage statistics — page views, feature usage, performance measurements, error reports and session replays — with typed input always masked. Both run without cookies or persistent identifiers, so we can't recognize you across visits, and this site needs no cookie banner.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card details are entered with and held by Stripe — we never see or store them. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by its own privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't run advertising trackers, we don't use tracking cookies, we don't sell your data, and we don't share it except with the providers above (Apple, Google, Stripe, PostHog, Ahrefs) strictly to provide and improve the service. Analytics never sees the content you work with — not in the app, and not in the browser tools.
Your choices
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard. To request access to or deletion of your account data, contact us at support@snapix.app.
